It all started with a homemade gear stick crafted from old handlebars. What began as a personal project quickly caught the attention of friends and fellow enthusiasts who wanted one for themselves.
That spark of interest inspired us to design a proper, safe version that brings together the worlds of automotive, BMX, and scooter culture. GripStick is built for those who live and breathe the ride.

ABOUT ME
MY STORY
I’ve been riding scooters since I was 12, competing at pro level and finishing 12th in the UK, as well as qualifying for the European finals twice. I also rode BMX and spent over 10 years at Adrenaline Alley, working in the shop and coaching scooter riders. GripStick is a way for me to bring together the car, BMX and scooter cultures I’ve been around for years.

GripStick started years ago with a homemade idea — cutting up an old set of handlebars and turning them into a gear stick. It worked, people loved it, but it definitely wasn't safe enough to sell.
After constantly getting comments and questions about it, the idea stuck: what if we actually designed one properly?
